Local church to offer monthly “Presby Pickins’ Flea Market”

FOUNTAIN HILLS, Arizona, Sept. 16, 2022 – For Immediate Release. Fountain Hills Presbyterian Church will begin hosting a monthly flea market Oct. 1 and continuing the first Saturday of each month through April 1, 2023.

Coordinators Shawn Uphoff and Kathy Cole developed the concept, entitled “Presby Pickins’ Flea Market”. Each event will take place from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. in FHPC’s front parking lot. The church is located at 13001 N. Fountain Hills Blvd.

Potential vendors can register online at www.fhpresbyterian.info/fleamarket. Space is limited to 54 rental spots. Vendors can rent one or more parking spaces at $25 per parking space and add a table or chair for an additional $5 each.

“The $25 fee includes all marketing and advertising efforts to make this a successful event as well as a boatload of fun!” Uphoff said. “Whether you’re interested in selling your wares or shopping for that unique item, we invite all from Fountain Hills and neighboring communities to join us!”

For people wishing to donate items to FHPC, church members also will operate tables during each sale. Note that FHPC will not accept furniture or large items. For additional information, contact the church office at 480-837-1763 or stop by. Office hours are 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

As part of the church’s community outreach, FHPC will spotlight a different Fountain Hills youth group each month, inviting organizations such as the Boys and Girls Club and Fountain Hills Schools Student Groups to attend and share information about their programs. Additionally, FHPC will share a portion of flea market proceeds with youth groups to support their efforts.

High school students can acquire community service hours by helping set up, take down and clean up.
