Thank you to all of our Avenue of the Fountain businesses and Holiday Window Decorating contest participants for a successful, fun and safe Stroll in the Glow. Turning lemons into lemonades brought some fun changes to this years Stroll with the addition of Tuba Christmas which replaced the ice skating rink and the Holiday Window decorating contest to further our Shop and Save local campaign to support the Survival of our local economy to an eventual thriving state! We wanted to promote businesses along the avenue and give non avenue businesses an opportunity to participate and it was great! The socially distanced Santa on the fire engine bucket was so fantastic, we can’t wait to continue that tradition in years to come!
Our first 5:00 Mixer (Holiday Mixer) in 9 months was supposed to debut this evening, 12/10 at 5:00 pm on our new outdoor event patio. Of course it is also our first day of rain in months and months and with this strictly being an outdoor event for the safety of everyone involved- it is postponed until Thursday 12/17!!!! One week from today the forecast states it is a high of 70 degrees and sunny. The Holiday Mixer will be on The Morgan memorial patio which is sponsored by our corporate partner Desert Financial and the Chamber will be providing beverages. The Mixer is for Chamber members only and you are encouraged to bring your business cards for networking.
Our newly renovated building is complete with a new Visitors Center welcoming you in the lobby. We encourage you to bring your Chamber Member collateral to stock it with your most recent marketing collateral. You’ll want to confirm the size available for your collateral as some areas have 8.5 x 11 spots available while others have only trifold areas available depending on space available within your industry category. If you would like to have your business card please make sure it is attached to your collateral – Business cards are reserved for Elite Leads Members only in the Elite Board room.
We will be hosting an online auction fundraiser to offset the costs of a membership drive 21% discount for 2021 for new members. Information regarding the auction will be released in the coming week, and some items will be viewable and on display at the holiday mixer. In support of local businesses during this time of economic crisis, we will offer 21% off New membership for Copper, Bronze and Gold Membership levels from now through Jan 31st 2021
Have you seen the display at the Community Center with holiday trees? Your Chamber participated for the first time this year honoring all 20+ year Members with their own personal ornament on the tree! Thank you all for your partnership and loyalty. When you invest in your business by partnering with your Chamber of Commerce you invest in the vitality of our Community! We are able to host programs like Stroll in the Glow, Parade of Thanksgiving and more because of you. We also continue to offer the lowest Chamber Member dues in the Phoenix Metro area while being a completely independent (not receiving municipal funds) non-profit and will continue to strive to offer more and charge less! Currently our Members have over 30 different benefits for their business by being a Chamber member including health insurance opportunities for staff, 10 different marketing opportunities, networking and more.
The State of the Town address goes virtual this year with live stream feeds on Channel 11, YouTube and FaceBook.
