If you’re looking for cultural things to do in the Scottsdale area, the Fountain Hills Community Theater (FHCT) is a robust pulse of top-notch entertainment in the Fountain Hills and Fort McDowell region. There’s no question that this scenic town boasts some of Phoenix’s greatest talent!

Since 1987, the theater has been serving up heaps of great talent to the community, starring talented local residents—both adults and youth—in a variety of productions ranging from drama, musicals and comedies. Having received numerous awards for creative excellence, FHCT has grown from very humble roots to become Arizona’s busiest and most honored community theaters.

Believe it or not, a quick look back to 1987 reveals that FHCT began in a local elementary school cafeteria and held three productions a year—at most! Since the days of neon clothing and big hair, however, and with the help of dedicated volunteers, FHCT now produces over 12 shows annually between two full stages. And with numerous hours spent giving back to the community, there’s no doubt this little theater has made—and continues to make—a big impact throughout the Phoenix area.

This January and February FHCT is running the comical Mel Brooks musical “The Producers”. All performances are held at 11445 E. Saguaro Blvd. Shows run Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings starting at 8pm, and Sunday at 2pm. The production runs now through February 6.
