Monday Member Spotlight: FH Youth Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition

March 25, 2019 11:02 am

Happy Monday, Fountain Hills! For this week’s Monday Member Spotlight, we wanted to highlight the efforts of a local organization, the Fountain Hills Youth Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition!

The Fountain Hills Coalition wants to hear from you. The coalition wants to hear what’s on your mind when it comes to issues that are impacting our community and kids by taking a quick and annonymous survey.

The survey takes about 10 minutes and will greatly help us enhance and expand the work we do to keep Fountain Hills a wonderful place to raise healthy families. You can take the survey on your computer or mobile device.  Your responses will be anonymous and confidential.

For those who may not know what the FHYSAPC was started back in 2009 when a group of concerned citizens, worried about underage drinking parties and the dangers of them, came together and formed the Fountain Hills Youth Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition. The coalition is made up of 12 community sector representatives including town leadership, law enforcement, school, Tribal representatives, healthcare, parents, treatment and youth. The coalition expanded its focus to work not only on underage drinking but also on preventing marijuana use and prescription drug abuse.

If you would like to be of assistance to the FHYSAPC by taking their quick, annonymous survey, please do so by clicking HERE!
