Fountain Hills, AZ (February 7, 2019) – The Fountain Hills Chamber of Commerce has realigned and hired new staff in order to meet the ever changing needs of the local business community.

Betsy LaVoie is joining the team and serving as the new Member Relations Manager. Three year employee Paige Lorentzen has accepted a new role as the Community Events and Marketing Manager. Long-time staffer, former mayor, Sharon Morgan, will be heading up the Chamber’s signature events program.

As a 40 year resident, Betsy’s knowledge and involvement in our Fountain Hills is a true asset to the business community and the Chamber of Commerce. She has been a local business owner since 1996. Betsy has also been a local realtor since 2005.

“We know Betsy will build strong relationships between business owners, managers and professionals within our Town,” remarked Chamber CEO, Scott Soldat-Valenzuela.

The Member Relations Manager is a new role designed to create synergy within the business community. Betsy will be working closely with current and future members as-well-as further developing the Chamber’s event sponsorship program.

Paige Lorentzen has assumed the role of Community Events and Marketing Manager. After gaining valuable knowledge and experience from her now more than 3 years with the Fountain Hills Chamber of Commerce, Paige will be responsible for the Community Expo, Thanksgiving Day Parade and Stroll in the Glow and all of the Chamber’s marketing, advertising, branding and design.

Paige attended Northern Arizona University, where she got her first experience working with local business at the Greater Flagstaff Chamber of Commerce. After graduating in 2015, she came to work at the Fountain Hills Chamber where she has been able to learn more about working with local business ever since. Outside of her normal working hours, she also handles marketing and advertising for her family’s newest venture, an electric bike store located in Tucson.

After nearly 30 years of managing all of the Chamber’s events, Sharon Morgan will be focusing on the The Fountain Festival, The Great Fair, the Mayor’s State of the Town Address and the Chamber’s annual Awards & Recognition Gala. She brings a wealth of event experience to the Chamber’s team and will continue her role in expanding our local economy through two of the largest art fairs in the United States.

Sharon has lived in Fountain Hills for over 30 years. In addition to being the first female Mayor from 1998-2002, she has served on numerous Town committees including Sister Cities, the Hall of Fame board and the River of Time Museum board.

The Fountain Hills Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit organization that has served the community since 1974 as the collective voice of commerce as it maintains and improves the economic environment while providing leadership for improving the quality of life in Fountain Hills.
