#FountainHillsFriday: Fountain Festival of Arts & Crafts

The second weekend in November marks the annual Fountain Festival of Arts & Crafts here in Fountain Hills. This local tradition has been around for over 30 years, and it has become one of the Southwest’s premiere art shows.

This year, the legacy of the event continues, with an impressive lineup of nearly 500 of the nations finest artists and craftsmen, ready to showcase their latest and greatest pieces. The artists that participate in the Fountain Festival are from all over the country, and there are even some local Fountain Hills residents partaking in the fun this year. From painters and sculptors, to photographers,  jewelers and woodworkers, there is art for everyone (and everyone’s budget) at the Fountain Festival.

If art isn’t necessarily your cup of tea, the Fountain Festival is the perfect place to enjoy a beautiful Arizona weekend. On top of all of the art, there will be live entertainment from the Sahnas brothers. Nearly twenty different types of food concessionaires will also be available for spectators to stop and grab a bit to eat at. Just some of the delicious food includes gyros, Thai, barbecue, Alaskan salmon, smoked turkey legs, berry kabobs and more. You can also take a load off at one of the two different beer gardens the event has. Grab a cold beer or a glass of wine and sit back and enjoy the art show!

The Fountain Festival comes at a time when people are starting to think about holiday shopping, making this the perfect “one stop shop” to get all your holiday gifts checked off you list! There are many artists who specialize and sell strictly holiday items, such as Santa Clauses, tree ornaments and decorations. People love to recieve unique, handmade and quality gifts, which is exactly what you will find when you visit the Fountain Festival!

The Fountain Festival runs from November 11 until November 13 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Rain or shine, the show will be open. You can find public parking at the Town of Fountain Hills town hall. If you have any questions about the event, please call (480)837-1654 or visit our website here.
