Fountain Hills Theater Presents: Lend Me a Tenor!
Fountain Hills Theater is proud to announce the Southwest Premier of Lend Me a Tenor – The Musical’. Lend Me a Tenor – The Musical is a riotous tale of mistaken identities and unexpected romance explodes in this brand new musical comedy based on the Tony award nominated play. It’s 1934 and Opera virtuoso Tito Merelli is about to revive Pagliacci for the ten-year anniversary of the Cleveland Grand Opera Company. When Tito becomes unexpectedly incapacitated, a suitable replacement must be found. Max, the Opera Director’s sheepish assistant, is charged with the daunting task of finding a suitable replacement. Who is cavalier enough to replace him? With the help of a menacing soprano, a tenor-struck ingénue, a jealous wife, and the Cleveland Police department, mayhem, lunacy and shear panic ensue, but in the end the show must always go on. *Adult content. Tickets for adults are $28, and youth under 17 years of age can get tickets for $23. They also offer Veteran, active duty, senior and group rates.
The Fountain Hills Theater was founded 30 years ago, and over the years it has grown from a small theater presenting two shows a year at McDowell Mountain Elementary School, to three venues producing over 17 shows each season! In addition, the FH Theater also offers year-round after school and summer performing art programs for children. Recently, a new youth outreach program, Act Out!, was established, which takes students all over the Valley performing for senior centers, nursing homes, and youth organizations. The mission of the FH Theater is to contribute to the cultural enrichment of our community and surrounding areas through live theater and performing arts education.
